Been inspecting the pages to see if this was a jquery/bootstrap/js issue as well as turned error logging on. :(

This appears in backend events page but can't understand the issue.

Uncaught (in promise) Error: Maximum recursion limit reached.
at scheduleFlush (uikit.js?3.6.6:2017)
at flush (uikit.js?3.6.6:2008)
at uikit.js?3.6.6:2019

Also if I edit and try to save, I get this error of 500 ()

Don't worry about the 'maximum recursion' notice - its a notice a not an error that comes from UIkit.

The URL you gave relates to the overlapping event checks and isn't throwing an error.

What are the symptoms of not being able to create or edit events?

A Dialog about an error as in the screenshot, and checking the console:

Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 500 () https://simcoecurlingclub.ca/administrator/index.php?option=com_jevents&ttoption=com_jevents&typeaheadtask=gwejson&file=checkconflict&token=3cba5a7d018ca9e1de2234e028af3f2c

Can you provide ftp and super user logins?

The 500 error is definitely the problem!

I also checked what the 500 error contained

{"error":"alert('There was an error - no request data')","result":"ERROR","user":""}

I still haven't been able to locate the issue and luckily haven't had to make any additions.
