Hi,

How can a JEvents plugin Custom Field be added to a JEvents plugin Event Notification email? The documentation mentions that {CUSTOM} can be used but I imagine that will display all custom fields. We only want to include one in the email.

When modifying the field, this text appears next to "Field Type":

HTML Editor {fieldSpeaker}

so I tried the text below, but it passed through with exactly that text rather than rendering the field value.

{fieldSpeaker}

What syntax should be used to include a single custom field in a notification email?

Thank you in advance for your assistance!

Michelle
If you set in the plugin to:

Run Through JEvents Plugins?

to yes

Then you can use what you use in the JEvents Event details / list row to display custom fields etc.

Many thanks

Hi,

Thank you for the feedback! I checked the settings and found they were correct. What I didn't do right was the syntax, which is, yes, the way it shows in the layout when the custom field is selected from the drop down in Custom Layouts.

I suppose what was confusing was the double curly braces in that other fields in the Notification email layout do not use double braces.

Just happy it is working - thanks for your help!!

Michelle

1) {speaker}
2) {{speaker:speaker}} <------------ This one worked.
3) {speaker:speaker}
4) {fieldSpeaker}
