Let us presume we have a very large number of events that should be displayed in the frontend > menu item «JEvents» > JEvents - Core > List by Category > List by Category

  • Goto JEvents Config > Year/Category/Range view
  • Set No. of Events = All
  • Open the menu item mentionned above or refresh it
  • Max 150 events are displayed (no pagination)

  • Goto JEvents Config > Year/Category/Range view
  • Set No. of Events = 100
  • Open the menu item mentionned above or refresh it
  • All events are displayed (with pagination 100 items per page)

Maybe I do not understand the setting «No. of Events». It seems to set the number of events per page (pagination). But it seems to be impossible to have any 999 events displayed on one page (without pagination).

Thank you and kind regards
Chris
Hello Chris,

So you are saying if you set to the max 150 we don't display pagination even though you have more than 150 events to show?

Many thanks

Hi Tony

The current setting is «JEvents Config > Year/Category/Range view > No. of Events» = 100.

In the Frontend we have on page 1 there are 150 events,
Then we have pagination buttons like this << < 1 2 > >>
On page 2 there are the remaining 70 events.
Page 1 is strange: there are 150 events despite the setting mentionned above.

Now I change the setting to «JEvents Config > Year/Category/Range view > No. of Events» = All.
This causes the frontend to display one page only and there are still 150 events.
The remaining 70 events are not displayed.

The setting «JEvents Config > Year/Category/Range view > No. of Events» does either not work properly or I do not understand the meaning of this setting.

Furthermore there seems to be a limit of 150 which is the max. number of events that are displayed even if I set No. of Events» = All.

Thank you and kind regards
Chris
