Hi,
we use jevents and would like to offer our visitors our appointments as an iCal calendar.

We had created a link to the export, but unfortunately the dates are no longer updated (in google calandar).
https://www.feuerwehr-debring.de/termine/kalender-abonnieren

Will such a link expire at some point?

How can we create a permanent link that ideally ends with no "cryptic" characters?

Best regards and thank you very much,
Benjamin

Hello Benjamin,

Those links look to be correct. To create a non-cryptic version you could enter a 404 url say:

yourwebsite.com/my-link-here

and then in the Joomla! Redirects redirect it to the correct link. Although this might not work on all iCal providers if they do not follow the redirects.

If google isn't updating it's not refreshing when it should be. See:

Many thanks
Tony
