Hello JEvents Support Forum,

I made the website of the local orchestra. There are several categories in the JEvents component. Within these categories there are public events for everyone, while others are for members only (e.g rehearsal).

The event manager adds all the events to our system. But he also created a google calendar with almost the same events to give all the members the chance to load latest information on their phone. The google calendar is very useful since there are lots of changes with our rehearsal events and so, every member is informed.

My idea is now to reduce his efforts and perform an iCal export, and then load the data into the members Google calendar.

As far as I know, the events for registered users are not exported which is correct, as it is conform with the rights management.

(If this is not the case, forget the following lines...;) )

On the other hand, the event guy created an calender with the same events outside the JEvents component, so we can forget about the rights management...

So, what about adding an option to also export events for registered users?

Since iCal export is accesible for registered users only, it should no be a problem...

Thanks

Best regards

Hello G-Ray.

You already can! On your iCal Export Menu Item make sure you are logged in first! then on the right you can see All events including Private Events which allows that export to the rights of that user.

Many thanks
Tony
