Hi I'm taking over a site that has JEvents on the site we both have the latest version of Joomla and have installed the Jevents 3.4.43 and wanted to know if there was a way to transfer the Events, Settings and Categories by PHP? And if so which ones do I need to move.

Will this also transfer the custom settings?

I'm asking this in the free forum due to the fact that I have not taken over the site or the subscription with you. I think these are the ones I need to move.

catmap
icsfile
repbyday

Hello,

I am afraid there is not a way to do this via PHP.

If you are taking over the site you already have the site so carry on using the site? I'm a bit confused on what you are trying to achieve.

Many thanks
Tony

Hi Tony:

I would just use the site if I could but that is not an option, I am having to build the site from scratch. So what I am trying to do is Fred has JEvents set up right and has some custom items so I was trying to move the JEvents over from the old site to the New.

The Items that I'm tying to move & yes I have his permission are
1. Events
2. Locations
3. Configuration
4. Custom Layouts
5. Custom CSS
6. Custom Fields

If there are files that I can copy for some of these that would be great.

If I can do some that would help then let me know where I need to go to copy over the rest.

The Association is a Club member but I don't take that over until the first of the year so that's why I'm asking this here. If you need any information from Fred I can e-mail you his email address along with his sign in name.

Hello,

You will need to copy the Joomla! extensions table, the Joomla! categories tables and assets tables, and all JEvents tables. Noting you may only want some of the information from the extensions and assets tables.

Re files, just re-install them from your JEvents downloads and it will update the tables where it needs too.

Many thanks
Tony
