Good afternoon

I have installed JEvents 3.6.35 on Joomla 4.1.3 running on PHP 8.1.4 with 10.4.24-MariaDB to check whether it fits my needs. My first impression is not so bad at all, even it's rather complicated to adapt to my ideas for the front end.
But I am not able to get the date displayed in the format I require, i.e., Swiss German (e.g. Sonntag, 21. Mai 2022) instead, it always shows Sunday, 21 May 2022.

I have tried to set front end and back end to the desired language profile, tried to fix it by language overrides (as I've found in an older post in the forum) and made changes in all possible places where I thought I could see possible influences but nothing helped.
I could see some changes in e.g., monthly view, but not in e.g., detailed view......

What else can I try?

Thank for your help.

King Louis
Hello Louis,

So the languages are usually set in the language file if you set JEvents to use the language file :-)

which Theme are you using too?

Did you see: https://www.jevents.net/frequently-asked-questions/time-formatting-in-jevents

Many thanks

Good Morning Tony

Thanks a lot for your answer.
Indeed. It was the language file. A soon as I have installed the JEvents-German Translation it worked. Of course, with some fine-tuning according to the given link.

So simple, but you have to come up with it first!

Thanks for your valuable help!

Best regards
