Hi,
I have a calendar for 2019. Now I want to save all these events in a new calendar for 2020 and only change the dates.
I made an export of the calendar 2019.
I built a new calendar in the component and imported this ics-file. So far all works pretty.
I filtered all events of calendar 2020 in the event manager and started to change the dates.

Now, I have a look to my old calendar from 2019 - alle events disappeared! There is just nothing any more. It seems that one event had not been copied, it just had got a new relation to the new calendar of 2020.

I renamed the ics-file and repeaed the whole process - same result. All events are just saved for the last built calendar which had got the import.
I do not understand. This file - it is not a copy? It is some kind of "alias"?

It can not be that difficult to maje a copy of a calendar?

I guess I am a blockhead?

Thank you in advance.
Hello,

So events when exported have UID's and when you imported them again it moved them with a new association.

You could change the UID or export as CSV with the JEvents List of Events Menu item and ticking export as CSV.

Many thanks

Okay, thank you. Do I always have to go this way? Or would it be simpler having a subscription?

Hello,

There isn't anything to make it easier within a subscription. We could look to put a random condition in for randomise the exported event UID's for Silver Members? So a tick box when on the iCal Export page 'Randomise UID' ?

Many thanks
