Hi everyone, I'm new to this forum.
I need to build a calendar or calendars, showing occupied rooms in different locations. each location can have several rooms. there are around 40 people who need to book the various spaces
I'll give you an example:
I have 3 offices located in the city, with several rooms that can be booked:
ABC
a1
a2
DEF
b1
b2
b3
GHI
c1
c2

the question is, how do I build the calendar? Should I use categories? bookings cannot, of course, overlap with each other in the same room
How do I manage permissions to change my own reservations, but prevent me from changing other people's reservations?

Who is going to be making the bookings on the site? You could use our managed locations addon to set up a series venues to represent your rooms and users could select the one they want to use.

You can block overlapping events by category or by venue.

Do you want to charge for these bookings?

Are they are set times or completely open?

Sorry for the slow response - I was out of the office last week

Hello and thanks for the reply.
I need our internal workers to have a calendar where they can book rooms. the rooms are located in different locations. Venues may have multiple rooms. You said I can install a headquarters component, which one? I purchased the premium component, do I need to download anything else? I don't need to ask for money.
I'm a beginner with this component, I would need to understand how to create the structure with the configurations. I looked for video tutorials but found material from a few years ago.
I hope I explained myself better
Thanks again

The main thing you need is the managed locations addon - see https://www.jevents.net/download-area/silver-downloads/462-managed-locations

Create your rooms as locations - if you have multiple rooms at a venue then each needs to be a 'location'

Make sure these are shared/common rooms so that your event creators can select the venue they want to use.

Also you will want to configure JEvents to block overlapping events on the event editing tab of the JEvents config

This will mean that you avoid double bookings

Does that do what you need?

If you'd rather have set time slots for the rooms then we'd need to configure things differently - if so, let me know and I can advise you on this alternative approach
