Hello,

I have a client who wants to have a joomla page set up that shows the large calendar (tied to specific categories) and then upcoming events (of the same categories) listed below. This page would also have other text associated with the calendars, so it would need to be editable using the joomla article editor.

Is this possible? If so, can I do it myself with your guidance, or is it a project you would do?

Thanks

Hello Michael,

You just need to use a very blank template for this. And set it up that way :-).

The text can be modules, for example use the Joomla! default template, and then you can add the modules which if the user is authorised to can edit them in the front end.

Many thanks

Hello Tony,

I understand some of what your wrote, but to clarify. I'll need to create a copy of my template because you can only have one full size calendar per template? Secondly, I don't understand how to change the title of the calendar. I have this calendar - http://www.masshort.org/education-calendar, but it is called Events Calendar? Can that be changed without PHP edits?

Finally, I'm not clear on how to get text on the calendar page. Ideally, I would like the calendar inserted on a category page so I could list the events (in artlcle format) underneath it.

Could you let me know if this is something I should be able to do or should we discuss the cost for a project?

Thanks

Michael

Hello Michael,

If you only want to display the calendar and nothing else then you would use a blank template. Or remove all the modules from your JEvents menu item.

You can change the text to use the menu item in: JEvents Configuration -> Headline

For adding text to the page see:

https://www.jevents.net/frequently-aske ... in-jevents

You can create modules and set them to display on all pages but only in our custom module positions as per above.

Many thanks
