Hi there, I recently updated to the latest version of JEvents (v3.4.46 Stable) on a client's site, but soon I realized that there is a problem frontend event editing in JEvents. Here is client's JEvents page: https://www.instituteofmanagement.org/schedule/course-schedule

No matter what I do (click on + button in calendar to Add new event, or try to Edit existing event or Copy and Edit), I always get a blank page in Firefox and in Chrome I get the following Error:

This page isn’t working
http://www.instituteofmanagement.org is currently unable to handle this request.
HTTP ERROR 500

RELOAD (button)

If I go to back end, I can add or edit events ... but the main point of JEvents is the Front-end Event addition/editing and I have used it for 10+ years without a problem ... until now.

Can you please FIX this problem A.S.A.P.? I see that other users have the same (or similar) problem so it must be a problem with JEvents update!

My Joomla version is 3.8.3.
Please let me know HOW to fix that or can I go to previous working version of JEvents?
Thanks!
Hello,

Please enable Joomla! Maximum error reporting and try again. What error do you get?

Can you please provide your JEvents Support Info from the JEvents Control Panel?

Many thanks

There is also a warning above it all:
Warning
234 - Your php setting for max_input_vars may be too low (currently it is 1000) - if you have problems updating your configuration options then please ask your webhost to update this setting to 2000

Could that be the problem causing Error 500?
How do I fix that?

YES!!! I got it fixed by changing max_input_vars and some other values through WHM!
Thanks a lot for your help, Tony!

That's great to hear, but you should also update to Joomla! 3.8.5 now too :-)

Many thanks

Yes, I am working on it as we speak ... I recently updated PHP version to 7.1 and had problem updating from 3.8.3 to 3.8.5 ... probably because of some other PHP setting (memory limit or similar) but should all be fixed now thanks to you!
