Hi,
JEvents seems fine on the Backend.
But accessing the calender on the Frontend is impossible. Following pops up:
Fatal error: Cannot assign by reference to overloaded object in /mnt/web120/a2/86/57781886/htdocs/Joomla/components/com_jevents/jevents.php on line 90

I'm at a loss at solving this.
Here is the support info:

In the list of Joomla updates (http://YOURDOMAIN/administrator/index.php?option=com_installer&view=update) it should offer you the opportunity to upgade JEvents with a single click. If it doesn't appear then click 'find updates'

Thank you, Tony.
Can you please take me through the steps of updating JEvents?
Do I need an access code for that? Our school uses the free version.
I didn't see on the backend any place I could update without a code.

Hello,
I too suffer from this error. I have both Joomla and JEvents up to date and PHP at 7.1.6.
Please see further details in Site Details.
Thanks,
A

Edit: solved by adding menu item in the configuration of the module that was clicking thriugh to the events with an incorrect URL.

Hello Wdd, you need to upgrade all JEvents club addons.

Can you please provide your JEvents Support Info from your JEvents Control Panel.

Many thanks
