Regarding the email thing, do you mean sending the info to the user or sending the info of the user to an administrator? We currently provide both options and also you can setup your site to send reminders to the attendees.

RSVP Pro is a gold member addon that combines event registration, invitations and reminders. Attendees get confirmation emails as well as the event creation.

If, after you've tried the addon, you find that this addon doesn't do what you need then you can request a refund.
