I have a local group with a monthly meeting. A date was changed but I cannot find the even in the dashboard to correct it. The original even shows in calendar under the wrong date. I added as a new event but now have same event for two dates and no way to delete or alter the incorrect date>
Each months is added as a separate event not a recurring as they sometimes change date and venue.

Is the changed event in the past or future? Did you to a search in the backend and disable hiding past events?
You can always edit or delete the event in the frontend. Edit from the event detail view and delete from a frontend manage events menu item
