Just when I was ready to start a paid subscription, I found that I was unable to edit the dates on my events. I get an error everytime I try to change an event.

Fatal error: Class 'jevFilterProcessing' not found in /home/myaccount/public_html/components/com_jevents/libraries/dbmodel.php on line 1996

I am using Joomla 2.5.6 and latest version of jCalendar.
Any suggestions to fixing problems?
Hello,

Please updated to Joomla 2.5.9 firstly.

Then please try re-installing JEvents just via the extension manager.

Its strange - can you confirm:
1. What version of JEvents you are using ?
2. Are you doing this in the frontend or backend ?
3. New event or old event?
4. Apply or Save?
5. A repeating event or a single event?

Thanks

I found the cause of this - its an additional security feature we added in v. 3.0.10 which works ok in the frontend but not the backend because this class file was not defined.

Please upgrade to version 3.0.11 which I'll upload in a few minutes.

Thank you. That solved the problem. Just a view pre-sales questions.

Do you have a way to provide the following options?

1) Created REQUIRED fields in Manage Events?

2)Add search by location and region
(create a field to cover wider range area)

3 ) Link location to Google Maps

4) Ability to Export Events to CVS or Excel File format
(We do a printed newsletter and would like to extract
calendar info in chronological order.

I want to have a state-wide calendar that will list events within a given region of the state and allow to search within the range for a specific category.

You can add custom fields to the event editing page and make these required. Also we can help you (as a club member) to make some of the normal fields compulsory too.

Using the locations addon you can add venues and maps to events and this then facilitates searching by venue name, city, state or country and also a geographic proxmity search (as the crow flies as opposed to driving distance).

I did the update of jCalendar and was able to edit and make changes, but I still can't add events on the front end. I get this message:

Fatal error: Call to a member function title() on a non-object in /home/myaccount/public_html/administrator/components/com_jevents/libraries/saveIcalEvent.php on line 242

I'm using Joomla 2.5.9 and JEvents v3.0.11 Stable

Hello,

Please can you confirm you installed JEvents V3.0.11b?

I just tested with this version on a fresh Joomla! 2.5.9 install and worked fine?

Installed JEvents v3.0.11b and JEvents control panel reads
JEvents v3.0.11 Stable. I downloaded and installed jevents_3.0.11b.zip but on extension manager it shows it as just 3.0.11. ( I even uninstalled the old version before I installed this latest version)

Joomla! 2.5.9

I have it set to allow registered users to create and edit their own events. Is there anything else you suggest? When I try entering event with admin is worked, but for registered users I get the error.

Hello,

Thank you for the detailed steps. This seems to only happen when allowing registered users and we will look into this tomorrow.

Many thanks

thanks for highlighting this - the problem was introduced with a new feature in version 3.0.10 which allows user who cannot publish events to see a preview of events when it is saved.

I have a fix for this and will release it as version 3.0.12 in the next 30 minutes or so.

You can create a special print version of the date range menu item (this can be adapted to output a CSV file). It is described in a club member article http://www.jevents.net/jevents-15-topme ... -of-events (note that it requires some basic coding knowledge to implement though).
