"Create event with JEvents" doesn't access submitted Locations

This is my 2nd attempt to post this question which determines whether I can use JEvents.
I am trying to build a site which enables registered non-technical users to post their own events and venues information from the front side. After installing Jevents on my site I find that the "Create an Event with JEvents" menu item brings up a form which allows inputting a location in a text field which seems to have no connection with previously submitted locations. This would seem to cripple searches on location details such as city, etc. in addition to inconveniencing the front-side user.

I have obtained a Google API ID but not yet been able to properly connect. However I wouldn't think this would prevent connection between submitted locations and events.

Also the "Create Location" and "Submit Venue" forms appear to be identical.
