Hello all,

I'm new to Jevents (great component!) and i downloaded the Dutch translation files. I copied them into the folders of the components, but here comes my question/problem: how do i activate them/configure Jevents to use them....?

Any help is appreciated.

Kind regards
Cees
Well, i just translated the Brazilian version to a Portuguese one, and i dont know how to activate the language. I uploaded the Portuguese version, and actualy delected the original one. Still all in English.

Can i make a sujestion to this components developers?????????
How about a option on the admin configuration to select the language that we want.
You are constantly asking for translators for your component, and did not make a simple dropdown in configuration to select any language, and apply it??????
Come on, you guys did the most dificult, created the component, ask for developers and donĀ“t give a crap for helping who wants to use it!!!!

I see in this forum lots of problems concerning the language issues, and dont see any suport.

I MAKE THIS QUESTION ONE MORE TIME.... HOW THE HELL DO WE APPLY A DIFERENT LANGUAGE ?

This answer is to the polite question from motocasey - not the rude one of wortex.

I copied them into the folders of the components,

They should be in the Joomla language folders

In general the language packs should be installable using the Joomla language installer.

Thanks for the answer to the polite question <!-- s;-) --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_e_wink.gif" alt=";-)" title="Wink" /><!-- s;-) -->
However, there is no xml file in the zip, so the installer doesn't work.
Therefore, i copied the two language files from the zip to the folders.
There is also a German version, but, as mentioned less politely before, there is no way to select another language.

Maybe it is possible to put the Dutch text in the en-GB language file and fake the system, but that doesn't look like the right way...

UPDATE: sorry for the inconvenience, copied them to the wrong folder.....
(as i said, i am new ...)
Thanks anyway for your help!

If you want to change languages then you will need a component called Joomfish which will allow you to create a multi-lingual website.
