Can JEvents on one Joomla! website display events from specific JEvents calendars on other Joomla! websites?

Thanks,
Eddie
Hello Eddie,

It sure can!

You have a couple of options, option 1 would be to use JEvents on all the sites and then setup a calendar feed from a JEvents iCal Export.

The other option would be to use the Remote Module loader and load them in from a module dynamically.

Many thanks

Hi, Tony,

Thanks for the reply. The sites are all using JEvents. Would that make the first option the easiest to set up?

I am trying to set up an Ical Export menu item. How do I use this to generate a URL that JEvents on another website can "subscribe" to in order to import events?

And can this URL be restricted to specific JEvents categories on the source website?

Thanks,
Eddie

OK, I tried to do this, and the first JEvents site imports all the events from the site where I set up the iCal menu item.

Is there a way to set up one Joomla! site to import only some events (e.g. from selected categories) from a second Joomla! website?

Thanks,
Eddie

I also tried this with the Remote Loader module. It does not seem to work at all. Also, it only seems that it would pull in events from a single module on one remote Joomla! site. Is that correct?

We are looking for a way to aggregate events from selected categories on multiple Joomla! websites into a single Jevents module on another Joomla! site. Is this possible?

Thanks,
Eddie

Hello Eddie,

That's correct. You can create multiple types and pull them in separately.

If using another Joomla! Site then why not use the JEvents Import/Export routine and setup a cron to keep the 'Sub Sites' which are loading in the events in sync?
