After creating a repeating event, I add an additional event ('add repeat'). Then I edit the new repeat including the name of the event and the date / time - let me say somewhere in between two existing events of the repeating event. This works fine.
Afterwards I again add a new repeat. This will be add after the just add repeat. Again I change the name of the repeat and the date / time and save it. Now something strange appears: Not only the new repeat is changed, but also the latest event that it was originally copied from.
I even managed to have an empty name on this two events. when selecting and edit one of them, the database returns an error. Looking in the database, the entry of the event repeat is gone (deleted).
This happens with Joomla 3.9.25 (up to date) and JEvents 3.6.12.

Hello,

I am sorry for the delay on this we had to re-write the method.

Can you try the attached package now for new repeats any previously added repeats will need re-adding as we were missing of the exception/event detail adding.

Many thanks
Tony

With this update the datebase is no more corrupted, the new event is correctly added.
One curious side effect: I add a event, the event normally lasts one hour. The new event - sometimes - is added as an event of 25 hours, i.e. one hour plus one day.

One question: This update is named 3.6.13 but the official 3.6.13 package differs from this package. Is the bugfix also included in the official package?

Hello,

Hmm, can you give me the setup of that type of event so I can recreate it?

So this package 3.6.13 will be ahead of the released 3.6.13. When we do a bug fix with it is it will be 3.6.14.

Many thanks
Tony

Thanks for update.
Please reproduce as follows:

  • generate an event with e.g. 10 repeats
  • add a repeat (i.e. additional repeat)
  • modify the date of the new repeat, so it is somewhere within other repeats
  • again add a repeat
  • also modify the date of the new repeat, so it is somewhere within other repeats
  • change the names of the both added new repeats, so they are different from each other and different to the original event
  • again add a repeat
  • check, that all 13 repeats are present in the backend and frontend with the correct names
