I see you have integrated with EasyBlog from Stackideas. Any plans to integrate with their EasySocial product?
Hello Mark,

It has been talked about but no one has requested it and our workload is quite high!

What exactly are you looking for it to be interested with?

Thanks
Tony

Hello,

Integrate Easysocial events (v1.3) to JEvents, integrates JEvents with Easysocial allowing our users to show their events in Easysocial, set different privacy levels for their events or even invite others to attend their events. Show events created by each user in their Easysocial profile. Publish Jevents in EasySocial Layout and Activity Streams.

Hello - I was interested to see if you have made any progress with EasySocial. We have a need to manage events and calendar for a business training / school / classroom website. This includes the need to manage both company/school wide events and class specific events. We are set up to use a separate EasySocial group for each class.

Integration that we would like to see:
1. Use JEvents as the main system for viewing & managing events. (We doubt EasySocial will ever have all of the event features of JEvents so we prefer to use JEvents as the anchor for all events in the website. - i.e. reoccurring events, etc.)
2. Events created in EasySocial should be shown on the JEvents calendar. If event owner tries to edit the EasySocial Event from the JEvents component, the owner should be automatically taken to the EasySocial event page for editing.
3. JEvents configuration would have the option to automatically create / mirror a JEvents Category for all EasySocial Groups. EasySocial Group Admin would be set as the JEvents Category admin. If EasySocial group is created, a new category should be created. If a group is deleted, the category should be deleted as well.
4. Option for JEvents category (that was mirrored to EasySocial group) to only be viewed by the Group Members of EasySocial Group.

Thank you!

1 & 2 are pretty much there - the addon is available to silver+ members of the club and we will resolve any outstanding issues with users who implement the plugin.

3 & 4 The integration with EasySocial groups, categories and permissions is not likely to be implemented - you would need to implement this yourself. THOUGH we will be implementing group member event privacy and invitations if there is the demand for it

Thank you for the fast response! Is there a special add on for EasySocial available for download? I'm likely going to go Gold with jEvents so I was wanting to know which addons or plugins I need to install to enable the EasySocial side.

Also - are you testing yet with a pre-release version of 1.3?

Thanks!

We would like to add our vote to the following points as made earlier by 'opcichlid':

Geraint, you said the following:
"3 & 4 The integration with EasySocial groups, categories and permissions is not likely to be implemented - you would need to implement this yourself. THOUGH we will be implementing group member event privacy and invitations if there is the demand for it"

I would like to also add that we would definitely be interested in these points and the 'privacy' & 'invitations' is definitely a strong requirement for us.

Parth from TechJoomla was also working on better integration for their Invitex system with EasySocial.

We need to have the Events system in such a way that the ES Group Admins could add events and manage their events easily, definitely also from mobile. We also need for the Group members to be able to sign-up to an Event (RSVP) easily from any device.

Of course all previous points in this post would also be required (e.g. 1& 2 from 'opcichlid' and the points from 'Gother').

Hi

I would like to know if JEvents currently integrates with EasySocial and if not when will that be or if this feature will be released shortly.
Also do you have a demo where JEvents integrates with JoomSocial?
Thanks

We have an EasySocial integration that allows you to show the events a user has created or is attending within their EasySocial profile page. there is no demo available at present - but if you join the JEvents club as a silver member we can get you a copy to play with and if it doesn't do what you need then you can ask for a refund of your membership.
