Hello experts,

big problem !!!

my configured administrator group isn't able to edit the state on events.

for example:
there is an eventseries and some of the repeats have to be deactivated.

I go to the event and klick on the pen
then I select 'edit this repeat'
after changing the state to 'hidden' oder 'trash' I save and get a positive systemmessage

...but the state hasn' changed.

What ist wrong ?

At the ACL I allowed everything except ACL and deletio of all events.
At the JEvents config the userauthorisation is off
Jevents-Admin is the Name of the Super-User

Trying to edit the event in backend result in Error 403 - no authorisation.

What went wrong?

Please help

regards,
Berndi
Hello Berndi,

Are they their own events? If so you have set: Publish Own? - No

This needs to be set to Yes to allow them to change the publish state or set to use Joomla! ACL

Many thanks

No, SuperUser created all of them.

It must be possible for Admin to hide or delete single event repeats.

Hello,

Can you please provide the logins for a user who cannot change the state of an event? Also upgrade to V3.4.33 and try again.

Many thanks

Hello Berndi,

So you have a very customised event form. What is the problem exactly? I see the state on the events when editing with the provided tester user.

Can you give me a scenario to test against?

Many thanks

Okay ..

1.) login as Testuser,
2.) Search for the Event "Testevent" in April 2018
3.) Edit one of the repeats of this event
4.) Try to put it into the Trash or hide it

This won't work.

After saving Joomla says that the changes were succcessfully made, but the state is still the same.

Berndi

Hello Berndi,

Ok That's the problem the state and access shouldn't be shown on individual repeats. It looks like the way the form is being called has changed and it's output these on the repeats edit page which they shouldn't since they have no use.

These will be removed for the next release. And to remove repeats you should allow your users to delete, then they can delete this repeat on the event.

Many thanks

..but when I allow to delete events I must allow to delete all events.

Can you please seperate these two things in one of the next updates?

and ....

Have you tried to edit the event in backend?
When you try to rmove single dates in backend you get an 403 error.

I think there's still something wrong

Hello,

You will get a 403 error when trying to delete an event which you cannot delete. IS the user fully authorised to delete all?

It's a massive structure change. you would be better adding a custom field to your events and repeats. Which then allow setting hidden or shown. Then constrain your menu items to this custom field value.

Many thanks
